Anointed with Purpose. Built for Dry Hair.

The Priest is named after the biblical role of the priest — anointed with oil, set apart, consecrated. The anointing oil described in Exodus 30 included cassia and cinnamon — two of the key ingredients in this bar. That is not a coincidence. It is a formula built on the same botanical tradition, updated for a practical purpose: giving dry hair and a dry scalp the moisture and care they need without the chemical load of conventional shampoo.

Frankincense promotes scalp health and follicle activity. Cassia and cinnamon stimulate circulation. Coconut oil restores moisture. The bar is sulphate-free, works on hair, scalp, face, and beard, and does what it says without ceremony.

Why Priest?

In the biblical tradition, priests were set apart and anointed with a specific blend of oils described in Exodus 30 — a formula that included cassia and cinnamon. These are not incidental ingredients. They are two of the most significant aromatic botanicals in recorded history, selected for their warming, purifying, and restorative properties. The Priest bar carries both. The name is not decoration — it is a direct reference to the ingredients inside and the tradition they come from.

What Is the Myrtle Priest Bar?

A solid shampoo bar for normal to dry hair, built on a sulphate-free cleansing base with a conditioning core that addresses dryness without leaving residue. It works as a shampoo, scalp treatment, face wash, and beard wash — one bar that handles the full grooming routine without compromise. Here is what every ingredient in the Myrtle range actually does.

What’s In It

The Priest bar is built around frankincense essential oil for scalp health and follicle stimulation, cassia essential oil for its warming and circulation-stimulating properties — one of the ingredients in the biblical anointing oil — cinnamon essential oil to invigorate the scalp and promote healthy blood flow, and coconut oil to restore moisture to dry hair and skin. Hydrolysed jojoba protein strengthens the hair shaft and improves manageability. The sulphate-free base cleans thoroughly without stripping the scalp’s natural oils. For the full breakdown of every ingredient, see the ingredient list below.

Who It’s For

The right bar if you:

  • Have normal to dry hair or scalp — tight feeling after washing, rough texture, or visible flaking
  • Want one bar that replaces shampoo, face wash, and beard wash without compromise
  • Are switching away from sulphate-based products that leave your scalp and skin feeling stripped
  • Prefer no synthetic fragrance — the cassia and cinnamon give this bar a warm, spiced scent from essential oils only
  • Want a product with a bit more behind it than generic wellness copy

How to Use

  • Wet hair and scalp thoroughly, then rub the bar directly onto the scalp or lather between palms.
  • Massage into the scalp with fingertip pressure. Work down through the lengths.
  • For face and beard, lather between wet hands and apply. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Rinse well — complete rinsing prevents any residue build-up.
  • Follow with the Myrtle Priest Conditioner Bar for best results, or the Myrtle Hair Growth Oil — Men as a between-wash scalp treatment.
If switching from a sulphate-based shampoo, allow two to three weeks for the scalp to adjust.

Store on a draining soap dish — one bar lasts approximately 60–80 washes when kept dry.

Complete the Routine

Pair with the Myrtle Priest Conditioner Bar after washing, or use the Myrtle Hair Growth Oil — Men as a scalp treatment between washes for added follicle support.
