Grass-fed tallow is the foundation — chosen because its fatty acid composition sits close to what the skin produces naturally, which is why it absorbs the way it does rather than sitting on the surface. For a product applied to the lips multiple times a day, that absorption matters more than it might seem: nourishment that lands rather than layers.

Beeswax and lanolin are what give this formula its staying power. Beeswax creates a breathable, protective layer that holds without sealing the lips off — it is why the butter stays comfortable through the day without demanding reapplication. Lanolin works underneath that, locking moisture in with a particular effectiveness that makes it well suited to lips, which lose hydration quickly and need something that holds its ground. The botanical oils — Kalahari melon seed, marula, baobab, mafura butter — soften and condition, and keep the texture from sitting heavy despite everything else in the formula. Vitamin E and rosemary extract support the formula’s stability over time.

The scent is vanilla absolute and benzoin resin — not the deep, infused warmth of a vanilla bean but something quieter and closer, a soft sweetness with a slight resinous depth that settles on the lips and stays there. Apply as needed throughout the day. A small amount goes further than it looks like it will.
