What Is the Myrtle Clay Bar?
A solid shampoo bar formulated for normal to dry hair, using clay as the primary scalp cleanser rather than sulphates. Clay cleansing works by drawing out impurities through adsorption rather than chemical stripping — which means the scalp gets clean without the acid mantle disruption that sulphate-based shampoos cause. What’s In It
The clay bar is built around green kaolin clay for scalp detoxification, argan oil for deep conditioning and frizz reduction, and coconut oil to restore moisture to dry lengths. Bergamot essential oil balances oil production and adds a clean, fresh scent. The cleansing base is sulphate-free sodium cocoyl isethionate — effective lather without stripping. How to Use
If switching from a sulphate-based shampoo, allow two to three weeks for your scalp to adjust.
- Wet hair thoroughly, then rub the bar onto your scalp or lather between your palms.
- Massage into the scalp and work the lather down through the lengths.
- Rinse thoroughly — complete rinsing prevents build-up.
- For face use, lather the bar between wet hands and apply gently. Rinse well.
- Follow with the Myrtle Condition Your Crown Conditioner Bar or the {Myrtle Restoration Mask} for a deeper weekly treatment.

Bergamot Essential Oil (Hair)
Adds a refreshing citrus scent and helps to balance oil production, enhancing the overall cleanliness and vitality of your hair.
BTMS-25
BTMS 25 is a natural, conditioning emulsifier used in skin and hair care. BTMS is gentle on the skin and hair, and can be used in creams and lotions to provide a soft, powdery feel to the skin. It can also be used in making Shampoo bars, Conditioner bars, Leave-in Conditioner sprays, and emulsified Sugar Scrubs.
Cetostearyl Alcohol
Cetostearyl Alcohol is a mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohols that come from vegetable sources. It is classified as a fatty alcohol. Cetostearyl alcohol is a white, waxy, solid material in the form of flakes. It functions as an emulsion stabilizer; opacifying agent; surfactant – foam booster; and viscosity increasing agent.
Cinnamon Bark & Leaf Essential Oil
Clove Bud Essential Oil
Provides natural antimicrobial benefits and supports scalp health, while adding a warm, spicy aroma.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl betaine is a mixture of closely related organic compounds derived from coconut oil. CAPB is available as a viscous pale yellow solution and it is used as a surfactant in personal care products and animal husbandry.
Cocoa Butter
This deeply moisturising and conditioning butter softens and improves the overall health and texture of your hair and skin. It enhances shine, improves elasticity, and protects against environmental damage without adding excess weight.
Coconut Oil (Hair)
This nourishing oil infuses your hair with essential moisture and nutrients, promoting healthy shine, softness, and overall hair health while preventing dryness and maintaining balance.
Euxyl K510
Euxyl K510 is a liquid preservative for personal care products. This blend has strong, broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy against bacteria, yeasts and molds. It has good efficacy in the vapor phase, and is powerful even at low use concentrations.
