What Is the Myrtle Olive Growth Bar?
It is a solid shampoo bar formulated specifically for hair growth. Not in the vague, aspirational sense that gets printed on bottles — but in the practical sense that every ingredient was chosen to either cleanse the scalp effectively without stripping it, or create the scalp conditions in which follicles are most likely to produce healthy hair. Here is what every ingredient in the Myrtle range actually does.

What’s In It
The growth bar is built around frankincense essential oil for scalp health and follicle stimulation, green kaolin clay to detoxify and draw out excess oil and impurities without over-stripping, and lavender essential oil to calm the scalp and support a healthy growth environment. Hydrolysed jojoba protein penetrates the hair shaft to strengthen and reduce breakage, while coconut oil adds nourishment and moisture without heaviness. The cleansing base is sodium cocoyl isethionate — a coconut-derived, sulphate-free surfactant that lathers well and cleans thoroughly without disrupting your scalp’s natural acid mantle. How to Use
Shampoo bars work differently to bottled shampoo. If you are switching from a sulphate-based product, give your scalp two to three weeks to adjust — this is normal and not a sign the bar is not working.
- Wet your hair thoroughly, then rub the bar directly onto your scalp or lather it between your palms first.
- Massage the lather into your scalp with your fingertips. Focus on the roots.
- Rinse thoroughly — residue from insufficient rinsing is the most common cause of waxy build-up with bar shampoos.

BTMS-25
BTMS 25 is a natural, conditioning emulsifier used in skin and hair care. BTMS is gentle on the skin and hair, and can be used in creams and lotions to provide a soft, powdery feel to the skin. It can also be used in making Shampoo bars, Conditioner bars, Leave-in Conditioner sprays, and emulsified Sugar Scrubs.
Cetostearyl Alcohol
Cetostearyl Alcohol is a mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohols that come from vegetable sources. It is classified as a fatty alcohol. Cetostearyl alcohol is a white, waxy, solid material in the form of flakes. It functions as an emulsion stabilizer; opacifying agent; surfactant – foam booster; and viscosity increasing agent.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl betaine is a mixture of closely related organic compounds derived from coconut oil. CAPB is available as a viscous pale yellow solution and it is used as a surfactant in personal care products and animal husbandry.
Cocoa Butter
This deeply moisturising and conditioning butter softens and improves the overall health and texture of your hair and skin. It enhances shine, improves elasticity, and protects against environmental damage without adding excess weight.
Coconut Oil (Hair)
This nourishing oil infuses your hair with essential moisture and nutrients, promoting healthy shine, softness, and overall hair health while preventing dryness and maintaining balance.
Euxyl K510
Euxyl K510 is a liquid preservative for personal care products. This blend has strong, broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy against bacteria, yeasts and molds. It has good efficacy in the vapor phase, and is powerful even at low use concentrations.
Frankincense Essential Oil
This soothing and rejuvenating oil promotes a healthy scalp and encourages hair growth. It offers calming and balancing properties, creating a healthy environment for both scalp and skin while adding a grounding, earthy aroma.
Green Kaolin Clay
Known for its detoxifying properties, green kaolin clay helps to remove impurities and excess oils from your scalp, creating an optimal environment for hair growth.
Hydrolysed Jojoba Protein
